Join us during the school holidays with our friends from the RSPB Medway Local Group for an introduction to bird watching for children at The Strand in Gillingham.

Thanks to funding from the Medway Heritage Places Fund through the Heritage Lottery Fund we have free sessions available where children can have a go at birdwatching using our binoculars and telescopes and discover more about the amazing birds we find on the coast.

We’ll also have free craft activities to take part in and lots of information to take home.

Sessions at 10.30, 11.30 and 12.30 on 29 July, 5 August and 18 August.  They last approximately 45 minutes and are limited to 8 children per session.  All sessions are free but booking is essential via our Eventbrite page here.

Please note, this is not a childcare facility so all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  You only need to book spaces for the children taking part.
