Wildlife Friendly on the Water

Wildlife Friendly on the Water is a project which aims to raise awareness of coastal wildlife in North Kent and help people participating in water-based activities to do so in a way that doesn't cause harm to wildlife.

Throughout March we want to hear from people who enjoy water-based activities in our area to understand more about which activities are taking place and where and when they happen.  An online survey is running from 1 to 31 March and is open to both clubs and individuals to complete.

Once the survey closes, we will use the information gathered to host workshops with clubs and individuals who participate in activities on the water to help us create signage and educational materials.  If you would like to be involved in developing this going forward, there is an opportunity to add your contact details to the survey.

You can also view our current Coastal Codes which have guidance for a wide range of recreational activities that happen on our coastline to ensure you can enjoy being out on the coast without causing disturbance to our special wildlife. https://northkent.birdwise.org.uk/coastal-codes/
