Wild About Whitstable – A Wild Walk with Bird Wise
As part of the Wild About Whitstable festival, we are holding a guided walk along the coast at Seasalter. Suitable for all ages and aimed at beginners, join Bird Wise to learn about the birds that depend on our amazing coast for their survival and how we can help them. Well behaved dogs are also welcome but they must be kept on a lead.
Meeting by the Seasalter Sailing Club on Faversham Road, we will walk along the sea wall towards the South Swale Reserve, identifying the bird species we see along the way. We have allowed 2 hours for the walk but this all depends on how often we stop to look at the wildlife (often we hope!) and the pace people want to walk. The walk is not challenging but the ground is uneven and there are steps up to the sea wall so it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
There is no charge for the walk but there is a fee for parking paid locally by phone or using the RingGo app. Numbers are limited so booking is required, this also ensures we have your contact details in case there are any changes on the day. To book your space please visit our Eventbrite page here.
