The Great Kentish Bird Off
Introducing: The Great Kentish Bird Off!
You may have seen that we record each bird species that we see on each of our pitstops, and sometimes we can record some pretty impressive numbers! And so, for the first time, Bird Wise North Kent and Bird Wise East Kent, supported by our friends at Kent Wildlife Trust, will be competing in The Great Kentish Bird Off!
A single day bird bonanza to see which side of Kent can spot the most species of birds, and we need your help to spot as many as possible! So pick your team and come along to either Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve (East Kent) or Oare Marshes Nature Reserve (North Kent) on Wednesday 12th April from 10am till 4pm, to help your team win!
Whether you’re a complete birding beginner, or an avid twitcher, the more watching eyes the better! We will be able to provide binoculars (limited availability), use of a telescope, bird i.d guides and our own rangers knowledge to help with spotting and identification of birds, in the hope of recording the most species and winning the Bird Wise crown!
