Join us this May half term for a gentle walk around the coastline with time to stop and observe the birds we spot and hear along the way. These walks are suitable for beginners and experienced birders alike. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead to avoid disturbance.

Meeting place – Little Peckers snack van, Canal Road, Higham, ME3 7JA – the parking area is at the end of Canal Road before the entrance to the Nuralite Industrial Estate.

Time – 10.30am for 2 hours approx.

Parking – There is parking on site but not many spaces so please car share where possible.  The nearest station is Higham which is approx. 15 minute walk from the start.

Facilities – There are no toilet facilities at this location

Type of walk – Out and back on the Canal pathway along the waters edge and out onto the marshes. Paths are fairly flat but can be muddy if it has been raining so suitable footwear is recommended.  There may be livestock in the fields so dogs must be kept on a lead.
