We are pleased to join up with our friends at Kent Wildlife Trust to bring you a Women’s Wildlife Walk to celebrate International Women’s Day this March.

Research has shown that sadly many women do not feel confident to spend time out in remote locations to view wildlife alone.  This walk provides women an opportunity to enjoy wildlife at a beautiful nature reserve in a safe and supportive environment.

Join our team for a gentle walk around KWT Oare Marshes Nature Reserve where we will discover more about this fantastic place and the wildlife that depends on the rich mosaic of habitats there.

The walk is suitable for beginners and experienced birders alike.  Well behaved dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a short lead to avoid disturbance.

Meeting place  The main car park at Oare Marshes Nature Reserve, Church Road, Oare, Faversham

Time  10.30am – 12.30pm

Parking  Free parking on site

Facilities  There are no facilities on site but the nearest toilets are located at the village pubs, the cafe on the creek or Sainsburys.

Type of walk  Fairly flat terrain on mostly made paths but can be muddy at this time of year so suitable footwear is recommended.
