Great Coastal Birdwatch – Seasalter
The annual Great Coastal Birdwatch is running from 14 October until 29 October 2023.
Join us as we welcome our amazing migratory birds back to our coast for the winter season and help us to find out what species can be found on our North Kent coastline between Gravesend and Whitstable.
This walk is being held at along the sea wall at Seasalter. Meeting outside the public toilets on Faversham Road at 2.00pm, we will walk out along the sea wall towards South Swale Reserve and set up the scope to watch the birds feeding on the falling tide.
Suitable for all the family including beginners, our Rangers will help with identification as we record the birds we see. Well behaved dogs are also welcome, but they must be kept on a lead to avoid disturbing the birds. If you have binoculars, please remember to bring them but don’t worry if not as you can have a look through our scope.
There is free parking, toilets and cafe facilities close to the meeting point.
It is free to attend our events but spaces are limited so please book your space. This also ensures we have your contact details in case we need to change anything. You will receive a confirmation email when you book and joining instructions will be sent the day before the walk.
