Great Coastal Birdwatch – Grain
The annual Great Coastal Birdwatch is running from 14 October until 29 October 2023.
Join us as we welcome our amazing migratory birds back to our coast for the winter season and help us to find out what species can be found on our North Kent coastline between Gravesend and Whitstable.
This event is being held at Grain Coastal Park. Meeting in the car park at 11am, we will walk out along the sea wall and set up the scope to watch the birds coming in to feed as the tide rises.
Suitable for all the family including beginners, our Rangers will help with identification as we record the birds we see. Well behaved dogs are also welcome, but they must be kept on a lead to avoid disturbing the birds. If you have binoculars, please remember to bring them but don’t worry if not as you can have a look through our scope.
There is free parking in the car park and the nearest toilet and cafe facilities are in Stoke village.
It is free to attend our events but spaces are limited so please book your space. This also ensures we have your contact details in case we need to change anything. You will receive a confirmation email when you book and joining instructions will be sent the day before the walk.
