Great Coastal Birdwatch at Queenborough – Accessible Walk
Join us during the Great Coastal Birdwatch 2024 to celebrate the return of our winter migratory birds as they come back to our coastline in north Kent.
This gentle walk is suitable for all the family and especially for beginners to birdwatching. Meeting outside Bosuns cafe, we will walk out along the sea wall watching the birds coming in to feed on the falling tide. The Rangers will be on hand to help identify the different birds we see and explain all about their migratory journeys and the habitats they depend on.
As this is a short walk on hard, flat surfaces with plenty of opportunities to stop and sit down, it is suitable for people with limited mobility and those using mobility scooters.
There is free parking and public toilets located next to the meeting point, and we highly recommend Bosuns for refreshments!
It is free to attend our walks but places are limited so booking is essential via our Eventbrite page here. Well behaved dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a lead to avoid disturbing the birds we are looking at.
