Great Coastal Birdwatch at Milton Creek Country Park
Join us during the Great Coastal Birdwatch 2024 to celebrate the return of our winter migratory birds as they come back to our coastline in north Kent.
This walk will take us out across the country park to view the birds feeding on Milton Creek. Meeting at the main car park off Saffron Way, we will walk out on the pathways to the creek to record the birds coming in to feed on the falling tide. The Rangers will be on hand to help identify the different birds we see and explain all about their migratory journeys and the habitats they depend on.
The pathways are mainly flat but uneven and can be muddy if it has been raining so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. With the unpredictable weather in October, warm clothing suitable walking footwear is recommended. We will be out for approximately 2 hours with limited opportunities to sit down during the walk.
Free parking and toilets are available on site.
It is free to attend our walks but places are limited so booking is essential via our Eventbrite page here. Well behaved dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a lead to avoid disturbing the birds we are looking at.
