Great Coastal Birdwatch Walk at Allhallows
Join us during the Great Coastal Birdwatch 2024 to celebrate the return of our winter migratory birds as they come back to our coastline in north Kent.
This walk will take us out across the marshes and onto the sea wall at Allhallows to watch the birds gathering at high tide at Yantlett Creek. Meeting at the end of Avery Way, we will walk out on the pathway across the marshes until we reach the England Coast Path on the sea wall towards Yantlett. The Rangers will be on hand to help identify the different birds we see and explain all about their migratory journeys and the habitats they depend on.
Due to the ground conditions which will be muddy and uneven when it has been raining, this walk may not be suitable for those with limited mobility and suitable walking footwear is recommended. We will e out for approximately 2 hours and there are no seats along the route.
Parking on Avery Way is free. There are no toilets on site but the closest ones are in Lower Stoke village.
It is free to attend our walks but places are limited so booking is essential so book your space on our Eventbrite page here.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a lead to avoid disturbing the birds we are looking at, and as there is livestock in the fields we are walking through.
